I just got the collectors edition today and installed the game in under 5 minutes, but now it's updating and is taking forever! Not only that, it will upload and download at random high speeds, then very slow speeds, then won't update at all for at least 2-3 minutes before it does that.

  Yep, it worked. I ended up having to download the whole thing with CyberGhost running.
  That was frustrating, and we should not have to go thru hoops like that to get the game installed.
  I was going to head to the official forums, but I can't log in there because they can't verify my character loggin in the last 14 days or something.

  So i have great news if you are using the ffxiv client. Instead go to steam download the free trial and it will install 8 gb and then you will get the launcher. Sign in and bam done. So the TL DR use steam and get the trial version to download the game. Then if you want move the files somewhere else or whatever. I hope this works for others.
